New year New perspective
As the new year begins I’m excited for new opportunities and a chance to start over. 2024 was a rough year that brought with it many unexpected challenges. Starting in the spring of 2024 I had a bit of a health crisis of which no physicians were able to determine a cause or treatment. I’ve struggled to make sense of what happened which I feel mimicked a mild stroke but did not show on any of the scans that the physicians obtained. After months of related symptoms and repeated testing and still no answers I decided to give it completely to God. I’ve struggled to leave it completely in his hands throughout the rest of the year but I honestly have experienced more healing since doing that than I did during the previous months. God is always faithful! He knows me and my body far better than any of the doctors and provided far better than they ever did. The past few months my health has been improving and I’m finding myself feeling a bit more like the old me. Praise God for my healing!
This year for 2025 as I start the new year I’m doing so in a different way. Reminding myself of a very important passage of scripture which gives us great wisdom for the future. It’s states “We can make our plans but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs 16:9 As I step forward into 2025 I’m reminding myself of this truth. No matter what lies ahead for any of us in 2025 God knows the outcome. He has great plans for us to prosper us no not to harm us, to give us hope and a future. Things may not always turn out how we hope but they will always be just right if we seek Christ first for guidance on each step to take. So this year although I am making plans and looking ahead I’m also reminding myself to seek God first in all my choices.
What are your plans for 2025? How can you trust the Lord to lead you onto the right paths for 2025? I pray that your year ahead is filled with joy and peace as you trust God to guide your steps.
