FREE BREAST PUMPS FOR EXPECTING MOTHERS
Since I am pregnant and in my final trimester of my pregnancy I thought I would pass along a bit of information that was shared with me recently. If you are a women getting ready to have a child or are looking to have a baby and considering breast feeding, this post is for you. If you are and you will be in need of a breast pump, you may find this information helpful.I spoke a few months back with my OBGYN regarding whether or not breast feeding would be the way to go for my situation and for my child. At this time she advised that many insurance companies now cover a breast pump for free or at least cover a good portion of the cost. She gave me documentation at the time to request a pump if I should chose to do so. This documentation is for a company called 1 natural way and they will contact your insurance company to verify coverage and which pumps are available to you for free.
How does it work?
Upon receipt of your information either from a form provided by your healthcare provider or from filling out the online form they will begin the process. The company will contact you prior to the birth of your child and in my experience they contacted me 10 weeks prior to my due date. The first contact was by email and text message so make sure to check both for messages from the company. I received both an email and a text requesting I verify that I was still interested in receiving the pump. Then upon my response they contacted my insurance company for verification. Once verification was completed I was sent an email asking that I select which pump you would like to receive. There was a list provided with at least 5 free options and a few options that were upgrades that you could select from and would cost you in addition to what the insurance was willing to cover. If you are expecting a child and planning to at least attempt breast feeding this is a great benefit that many insurance companies provide. I wanted to share the information for other new moms that might be interested in looking into getting one of their own. I realize the expenses associated with having a child are great and that anything you can get for free is a huge blessing. If you have any questions feel free to message I am happy to answer any that I can regarding my experience. Unfortunately I cannot tell you whether your insurance will cover a pump and which one they will cover. Once the company receives your information and verifies your insurance they will provide you with those answers. Looking for other great freebies for babies?
