Have you ever heard of Dolly Parton's imagination library? Imagination Library was created by Dolly Parton to provide free books to children around the world. Dolly Parton's goal was to provide free quality books to children from birth until Kindergarten. She saw a great need to increase literacy among young children and help provide quality books.
How did I learn about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library?
I discovered Dolly Parton's Imagination Library through a friend of mine. This friend had received these books for her son who was entering kindergarten. She sent me the link to sign up for these great books for my daughter. I was amazed at the quality and frequency at which these books were sent to my child. The books provided were not only free but they were also sturdy hardcover books. These books can be well-loved by any young child and will still last a long time.
How did Dolly Parton's Imagination Library begin?
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library began in 2005 in Sevier County, Tennessee. Sevier County is the county where Dolly Parton herself grew up. Dolly felt a calling to give back to the children in this same area because of her own experience. She decided to start Imagination Library as an outreach project to help improve literacy among children. Years later it has grown larger than just this small county in Tennessee and has even expanded outside of the U.S.

Visit the website for the Imagination Library and check for availability. It is not available in all locations but has expanded a lot recently. You will need to enter some basic information about you and your child to find out if you qualify.
Where is Imagination Library available?
Unfortunately the program is not available to everyone but has expanded greatly over the years and is even available in some countries outside of the U.S.A. This great program is now available in parts of Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Does Imagination library cost anything?
Imagination library is absolutely free and will cost you nothing. If you sign up and are approved your monthly free book will be completely free of charge.
