WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES IN LIFE?

Dear Friends,I write you this letter today as a cautionary measure as I realize that I am not alone in these struggles. We all are on this journey to financial freedom but each journey is our own. There are a few things that I have found are extremely important to understand while we are on this journey. These things will help you maintain the joy in your life while we journey together towards freedom from debt. I want you to stop today and consider these things ........What are your priorities? What brings you joy in life? So many times in life we are burdened down by stress and financial pressure that we get side tracked and forget what is most important in our lives. Why not stop and take some time today to consider what should be a priority in your life right now. Paying off debt and getting your finances in order is definitely important, but not at the expense of everything you love. If you spend every waking moment working and stressing about money you are robbing yourself of something very precious. You deserve a life that you enjoy and you deserve to spend time with those you love. Paying off debt and building wealth are never worth sacrificing important time with family or loved ones. When we do this we often end up regretting this decision and often the regret is because it is now too late to go back and share this experience or spend that time with your loved one.Understanding your priorities can help you to choose what to invest your life and your limited resources in. I try to stress the importance of saving money, paying off debt and not accumulating more debt. The one thing I often fail to mention though is the importance of embracing the moment and enjoying the things and people that you love. Take for example my love of traveling and my desire to do more of it in my life. For me traveling once a year has become a priority in my life. I can't travel all of the time but I can enjoy some time away. Life is short don't miss out on those special moments in life. If you can afford that trip take it and enjoy some time away relaxing and getting refreshed. These special moments in life are few and far between and should be enjoyed occasionally when possible. Prioritizing the things that you love to do cannot be your main focus, but planning for a little vacation or time away from work every year can be very important no matter how you choose to spend it.So my friends don't lose the joy in your life and don't sacrifice everything you love for money and wealth that can be fleeting. Remember that true wealth is discovered in what and who you value most and what brings you true joy in life.
