THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU CANNOT SLEEP

This morning is just one of those mornings for me. In fact I have been having a lot of them lately at 37 weeks pregnant. I can't seem to get comfortable at night and when I do, I find sleep is very restless. So today I decided to share a post with you on productive things that you can do at times when sleep evades you. Unfortunately I can't help you get anymore sleep but I can help you get motivated to get on track with your finances or save a few bucks.

Great things to do on nights or mornings when you just can't sleep

  • Create a budget - Start a budget today if you do not already have one and if your budget is already in place make sure it is up to date. Any changes to salary, debt or recent debt payoff can require us to update our budgets to stay on track with our financial goals.

  • Choose a survey website and start taking some money making surveys today. These will not make you rich or act as a second income. However taking surveys can bring in a little extra money or earn you some free gift cards or free items to sample and give your opinion.

  • Find some great freebies and start signing up today. I love getting free samples sent to my home of products to try. Often these samples are full size items or free product coupons which actually help stretch my budget and can give me a chance to try a product I have not previously used.

  • Have some receipts lying around? Download a few rebate apps and start scanning them today to earn some extra money. This will also not make you rich but will add a little extra money to your budget on items you already purchase.

  • Organize your coupons - If you are like me and use coupons frequently when shopping then you know that these often expire and often get to be a pain to manage if you don't stay on top of them. Clip, organize and throw away old coupons to help you save significantly on your next grocery trip.

  • If you aren't interested in paper coupons try downloading an app for the store you frequent such as Kroger , Giant Eagle or Meijer and start adding coupons directly to your account for use on your next trip. You will be surprised at the money you can save just by doing this before your next grocery trip.

  • Cook or bake something to stretch your budget

These are just a few ideas of things that I have been trying and I have found successful recently. Make the most of those restless nights and mornings and keep motivated with your budget and your goals. We both know you'd rather be sleeping but when that just isn't an option let's make the best of the situation and keep working hard towards a brighter future.
